We find a lot of over-the-counter and prescription drugs or topical treatments for
acne. However, a natural acne remedy might just be available right inside your home
which might be safer and more effective than drugs.
Our grandmothers and even our mothers had for quite sometime been using natural cures
for acne, pimples, whiteheads and blackheads which we thought were just rituals
handed down to them from past generations. But have you really taken a look at these
remedies they have handed down to us?

Acne is caused by excess sebum or oil which builds up on our pores along with dust and dirt. This then eventually swells forming a reddish mini-boil: this is what we call a pimple, acne or even blackheads.

I’m 17, and I have moderate acne, but all the red marks old breakouts left behind makes my face look really bad. My mother took me to a doctor (just a normal pediatrician) who prescribed me Retin-A. I’m reading reviews about it, and I really don’t want to use it, because it sounds like scary stuff. I hear that for the first few weeks, your face is totally disfigured by severe breakouts, and it leaves permanent scars. Just what I need. Then I read warning labels about possible carcinogenic potential. My skin is already very sensitive and dry, so using stuff that’s reputed to dry your skin to the point of bleeding scares me. Also, I would no longer be able to get my eyebrows waxed. I would rather use a more natural way to get healthier skin, because this stuff seems waayy too harsh. I’m sticking to a “no-junk-food” diet, drinking tons of water & taking zinc tablets, but my mom insists I use this stuff because, “the doctor said so”. But I don’t always trust the medical industry.

I want to have a clear skin (well..who does not:) ) but in a natural way. Dont want to use any creams or chemicals. I dont have any acne problems, but I have these small brown reddish spots cluttered on my cheeks. They make my skin look really rough and untidy. How do I get rid of them and make my skin look smooth and clear. I am a 26 years old Canadian with South Asian background.
I am indoors most of the time, so sun exposure is not the cause.
