I feel a pimple coming. What should I do to help keep the inflammation down? Also, any ance scar remedies??

I feel a pimple on my nose and one under it coming…It looks like one of the non-cystic, red bumpy pimples. Anyone have any suggestions to keep the inflammation down so my nose doesn’t look swollen?? Thanks! Also, what are some really good remedies to get rid of acne scars other than stop picking at your pimples??? Answers are greatly appreciated!!

Proactiv woks for a lot of people-it may work for you
Tucks pads also work-they have witch hazel in them and witch hazel is great for skin cleansing/clearing
Withc hazel pads are great if you can find them-Tucks are usually easier to find

I always keep a tube of acne medication on hand and as soon as I feel a pimple coming I apply it.
You should only apply it directly to the pimple and not the skin around the pimple.

Find someone in your area who sells Melaleuca. It’s a wonderful product for acne problems. Works like magic! Good luck.

I suggest you use a facial wash. But remember that you must wash your face with a facial wash only three times or less a day because washing it too much might irritate your skin even more and make it dry. It’s also better if you keep yourself away from your PC or phone or television first, since these devices produce radiation. You may also try napping for a while and note that not thinking about problems affect your appearance. And about those acne scars, I suggest you apply some ointment on those. I use one that I apply everyday. It doesn’t have a very pleasant smell, but it’s really effective. You can see the effect overnight. It’s called KATIALIS. It’s also great for other skin diseases, you know!

This may sound goofy but crush an aspirin and make a paste with water and place it on the area. It will help breakouts from forming and go away if they are already erupted.

As far as acne scars, I think you have to go to a dermatologist for a positive outcome.
Put some Windex on it
First, let the pimple erupt (it’s going to do this anyway no matter what). Once it has raised itself to your facial skin, apply a hot CLEAN compress (very warm washcloth will do). Use the compress for 5 minutes, give your skin a 15 min break and follow those steps 3 or 4 times; until the redness and “swelling” go down. Those steps will help the pore to open, or open it all the way. Once that pore is open and the whitehead/blackhead/or puss comes out — on it’s own, don’t pick it!— apply a good blemish cream. Getting rid of the acne scars… um, a chemical peel or several sessions of microderm abrasions. If $$$ is an issue, use a cleanser with an exfoliant at home and over time, it’ll have a similar effect to the microderm or chemical peel. Good luck on looking good!
Some people say proactive works! like don’t get me wrong it dose work but if you stop using it for a while you skin goes back to how it was so it dosn’t help you skin get better it just prevents it for a while so its like you have to use it consitantly so i don;t really like it but go for brands that are really good for your skin type and try putting tooth paste and concealer that has salicylic acid and drink lots of water!

Gather all materials beforehand — see “Things You’ll Need” below. You might want to store them in a waterproof resealable bag, such as Ziploc. I’d recommend wearing either old clothes or a bathrobe over whatever you are wearing. There is a definite possibility this is going to spill. After you have found everything on you checklist, head to a large, flat, waterproof surface. This is probably your bathroom. Having this room be private is highly advised; you can’t just say, “Get out, I’m flattening a pimple,” can you?
Things You’ll Need
- 3 or more cotton balls
- Lukewarm tap water
- Cup to hold the water in
- Salt
The Method
1. Salt the water thoroughly — much more than you think it needs.
2. Dip one cotton ball in the salt water.
3. Wait for 30 – 60 seconds.
4. Squeeze out excess water out until it is damp, but not dripping.
5. Place the damp cotton ball over your large, oh-my-goodness-I-cannot-go-to-… zit. If you have several of these grouped together, try to place the cotton ball over them all.
6. Glance at your watch/clock. Wait exactly three minutes.
7. Remove the cotton ball after the time is up. The zit seems to be nearly gone, but it is only the top that has dissolved. Your acne is still there.
8. Take the other two cotton balls and place them on either side of the despised pimple.
9. Slowly, move them closer together until the tiny bump is flattened. Congrats! You’ve just conquered that giant of a pimple — forever!
10. Apply honey on the infected area & go to sleep!!
Tips
*Don’t forget the last 3 steps — they are crucial.
*Be sure to follow these steps closely. Dipping a cottonball in fresh water as opposed to salt will not work, for instants.
* You might want to bring a book — either waterproof or one that you do not care about being splattered in water. Those three minutes can get boring.
* This is your best bet for monster zits that simply sneak up on you. For long-term healthy skin, cleansing and toning is also important.
Warnings
* Please, PLEASE, do not assume this is permission to “pop” pimples. Doing so can cause major scarring. Please don’t pop them.
* If you stop after the top is dissolved, I must warn you: it WILL come back! Maybe not in the next five minutes, but during the course of an hour, it will come back!
If you feel new pimples erupting, ice it! Hold an ice cube over the area for about 5-10 minutes. It REALLY works!!!
For acne scars,
1. Lemon juice is natural bleach and helps in lightening the scars and blemishes of the skin.
