Let’s just say I have tried every single acne product known to man. Are there any natural remedies I can use before I decide to take the step to go to the dermatologist?

I am 28 now and I have struggled with acne since I was 14. Ive used everything.
The only thing that has really worked for me is an antibiotic called Minocyclin. Go to your doctor and suggest it. Most insurances cover it and there have been no side effects for me yet except using a little sunscreen when I go outside in the sun.
I also use the dermalogica line of cleansers and masks. You can get them at most salons that do facials.
**for quick fixes: crush a generic asprin and mix with an aloe gel. Apply to a zit over night. It reduces redness and swelling really well.
Good luck!
this article has a lot of tips and recommended acne treatments you might find helpful

hope this helps
For a natural remedy, I’ve heard using organic apple cider vinegar is helpful. I’ve been researching it, and have decided to try it (I have the same acne problem as you). From what I’ve read, most people use it mixed with water, apply it like a toner and rinse. You have to rinse really well to get rid of the strong smell. Internet reviews show people that have used this method have had success, and even better skin tone after continued use.
Good luck!! (To us both, heh.)
Try the Asprin Mask.
It works wonders. Almost every woman i know swears by it.
I have tried everything, over the counter and prescribed…The best thing that has worked for me is Dr. Bronner’s tea tree soap twice a day, followed by spot treatment with any over the counter acne cream with 2.5% benzoyl peroxide.
The Dr. Bronner’s soap is extremely cheap and takes very little to work. Here’s the product

But you can find at any health food store, GNC, and some drug stores.
Good luck!
