Natural moisturizer- do-it-yourself beauty help, please!?!?
So, I just started with moisturizer a year ago or so, at 28. Now, my skin can’t get through a day without it. But, there are SO MANY fake chemicals… and acne is becoming an issue.
While I understand that I should be finding lotions without lanolin, pertolatum, or mineral oil (or any oils, really), and that I need “non-comodogenic” schtuff…
I would be the best choice of all to find home-remedies instead.
If you know of any, please forward them!
(PS- looking for this ont he internet brings up pages and pages of companies that are selling” natural” products, not giving good info. Thanks again!)

Before I wash my face with regular tap water, I use Evian ( it is that bottled spring water) . I pour it on the palm of my hand and just sort of smear it all over my face. I could actually feel and see ( on the palm of my hand) how it lifts off all the oil. . I follow that by simply rinsing my face with regular tap water.
( no cleansers or soaps)
No need for a moisturizer as Evian leaves skin very soft.
I’ve tried loads of moisturisers but always go back to Oil of olay, I use the Multi Radiance one now & its brilliant, it has light reflecting particles in it which make your skin look really glowing & healthy, I always get asked if I’m wearing make up cos my skin looks nice!

I have use some recipes from this site. There is lots of info there. Maybe you can find what you are looking for.
Also, homemade soap makes a BIG difference in how your skin feels and if you can get a shower filter for your shower it would help also. Back to the soap…Make sure it is true, homemade soap. There are several kinds but I only use the ones made from oils and lye and sometimes added herbs etc. Most store bought soaps are really detergents not true soap. They also have the glycerin extracted from them which is what helps with moisture.

read here for more on the disadvantages of commercial soaps.
Hope this helps.

idk if that helps
That is so true about the fake chemicals. Especially with all these new products on the market that claim to be natural. Anyway, I would recommend trying a company called bluebasins bath & body. Their products are all natural and handmade. They have a nice facial soap called Green Tea Tree oil and other products great for the face such as their Seaweed scrub. For a natural moisturizer and seeing that acne is becoming an issue, I would use grapeseed oil with tea tree essential oil as it is great for acne skin and not oily like olive oil, yet a nice moisturizer. Mix about 1 tablespoon of grapeseed oil with 2-3 drops of tea tree oil.
