There are several hypotheses surrounding the idea of acne: what causes it, and what prevents it. People seem somewhat obsessed with trying to control you by telling you what not to do to receive what you do not want. This makes you regret your past and feel guilty for enjoying life. People are often miserable and want to bring you down with them. Therefore, they say things like “sex causes acne” or “chocolate causes zits.”

Keep in mind also that while creams, oils and greases can aggravate your acne, there are many cosmetic products you can use that do not, including sunscreens, moisturizers and foundations. Facial concepts offers many alternatives to acne producing facial products. Those that do not aggravate acne or lead to development of comedones are labelled “non-acnegenic” and “non-comedogenic” respectively.

Change your diet, an unhealthy diet causes acne. There is no medically proven link between diet and the causes of acne. Just eradicating chocolate and greasy food in isolation will not get rid acne.
