I’ve had melasma on my cheekbones for a few years and acne scars come once in a while. Without makeup, i dont feel my skin is beautiful because i used to go out without sunscreen. I didnt know that you shouldnt go in the sun after using products with aha & other skin lightening agents in them but that was then, now i know. I’ve discovered some natural products that i’ve heard are greatcalled ‘Shea Butter’ and another is Pure Aloe vera from leaves. Also vitamin c – ester c cream, alpha lipoic acid cream & DMAE cream are said to work miracles on troubled skin. Google these and i think you’ll be pleasantly surprised. So I’m Asian, and I have oily skin, not excessive oil just more than normal. I went to the doctors and he gave me some pills which i have been taking according to him 2 times a day. My acne has diminished, i no longer have extremely bad breakouts, but i still have some. My acne is disappearing but not as fast as i would like it to. I used to pop my pimples and so i have some scaring on the side of my cheeks. So i’ve been reading online for a long time about natural cures and over the counter products. Well i came across the potato slice where i rub it on my face (yeah sounds extremely ridiculous) but it seems to have faded my acne scars on my cheek. The over the counter products don’t really work, at least the ones i purchased. So i was wondering if there was anything with my kind of skin has used anything that works?!?! Like mainly the fading of the acne scars. I also started using baking soda, but i don’t know if it’ll actually work? … Also what products or how can i prevent breakouts? Please don’t tell me things that i have read on the internet and YOU haven’t tried. Please let me know of products and what you do that helped you remove your breakouts and fading of acne scars! thanks!

Hi. I had a cystic pimple that I tried squeezing about a week ago.. turned out pretty ugly. I went to the dermatologist and got a steroid shot and now the pimple is gone. However, there is a dark spot where the pimple was. Does lemon juice really work to lighten it? And how do I go about applying it and how often? Or if you have a better remedy for lightening the skin, please share! Thanks.
