Question by Nicole: What are some remedies for severe back acne due to pregnancy?
I am now in my third trimester and my acne only on my back has never been worse. I know why it happens and know it will go away soon since i have few weeks left. But my baby shower is coming up and I have a strapless dress, as well as my baby belly photo shoot (I know photoshop,) but does anyone have any remedies to share with me because just washing constantly doesn’t seem to be working.

I think I have an imbalance of androgen and estrogen in my body. My periods are very scant (shows up once in 3 months) and I have been progressively gaining weight despite exercising and eating healthier than be4. I also have acne which is not due to the use of products. I went to the gyno and he just pushed BC pills on me without even hearing me out. I have another appnt with another gyn which is like 3 months away. I read that excess androgens can be the cause of my problems. Are there any natural remedies to “fix” this? I am not reely interested in taking artificial hormone pills. I may be very wrong in my self-diagnosis; so plz help me out here.
Thnx
Thanks Camelia,
Yeah I got my thyroid checked but it has been a month and the doctor hasnt called back; which under normal circumstances might mean that I am ok. But I am gonna call and ask for the results since u say their values are outdated. Thnx again for the answer!
Just so u know, other than these symtoms, I feel healthy for the most part. I sleep well and my digestion is quite good.

I wash myself 1-2 times a day with a good soap but I still have this gross cystic acne. It’s deep down under my skin like an inch. I have ones that are on the surface and ones that are deep underneath the surface that are very sore. Are there any products or home remedies I could use? Help I’m desperate :’(

To start off, my acne has been flaring up again since the start of the srping. It was never prefect be4 but it was kinda under control. Now, its like huge bumps under my skin with no head. I took some antibiotics prescribed by the doctor around 18 months back but it did nothin except give me yeast infections. The topical gel : adalapene also did nuthin for me.
Tried proactive and didnt work.
I also tried a couple of other natural, home and OTC that doesnt work. To make things worse, I think i may be having a hormonal problem that is making things worse. My periods are extremely irregualr. It can dissapear for 3 months and come back after and last for 30 days. I went to the gyn. He was a horrible doctor who pushed his BC pills on me even befor i had a chance to tell him my problem. This “salesperson” attitude of is pissed me off and so I didnt wanna take those pills. I am open to it but how can he give me pills even be4 he heard my problem? I have scheduled another appnt with another gyn which is a month away.
I have heard that androgens can lead to erratic perods and also acne. Is this what could be happening to me?
I also have scheduled a derm;s appnt which is 30 days away. Till then, I just need some help.
I eat lotsa fruits and veggies and take a multivitamin daily…so I dont think I am deficient or anything.
I amsorry this is soo long but I just need some kinda guidance.
Thnx

I heard that lemon is good for acne treatment, is there any others?
I’m tired of using chemically produced acne treatments that irritate my skin. I always get sudden breakouts, and want to find something new.

I’m starting to get into the natural ways to heal my skin/body. I was wondering what are some home remedies i could use to clear my skin? (scars, small acne marks). Also, what are some remedies i can use on my hair to keep it smooth and healthy? * I’ve heard of olive oil, which i’m about to try* – Recipes would be nice! ^_^ or a list… lol Thanks for your time.

Herbal acne home cures can be an effective adjunct to whatever other treatments are being used. It is important to understand that they are not hard and fast ‘cures’ in the absolute sense, but will instead support the body’s capacity to metabolize fats and carbohydrates, and encourage elimination through the lymphatic system.
The class of herbs known as alterative herbs are conceptualized traditionally as ‘cleansing’ the body’s tissues. They are thought of as detoxifying herbs, but they don’t work in any obvious way on the body’s elimination channels. – Namely, the lungs, kidneys, or colon. As such, they do not easily fit into a Western model of understanding the body. However, they do have a long tradition of use, and are certainly worth trying as an acne home remedy. Because they work on the internal condition of the body, they are not going to replace any of the topical, over the counter acne treatments. But they may provide benefit in an indirect way that these acne products don’t.
