The Pill while taking “Nature’s Cure” Acne Medicine?
I know that taking certain herbal supplements can effect the effectiveness of The Pill, and I was wondering if anyone knew if taking the homeopathic 100% all natural acne medicine “Nature’s Cure” (2 part: 1 part pill, 1 part facial ointment) would hinder the effectiveness of the pill?
I know it’s all natural but does that necessarily make it herbal…anyone know?
Thank you.
Well, Nature’s Cure is over the counter. It’s not prescribed. The birth control pill is just a 28 day combination hormone pill called Nortrel. That is the one that’s actually prescribed.

i wouldnt know anything about either pills but you should ask your doctor if your worried but i dont think he would put on any medication that is known to decrease the effectiveness of another.
I’d need to know the ingredients, the ones that look like “silicea 3x, belladonna 6x.”
This sounds like a combination remedy, at best (as opposed to true classical homeopathy, homeopathy being the philosophy, not the remedy itself). My guess is, it would be fine.
With combo remedies, pharmacists throw in a number of remedies that have helped people. Only one is needed to clear up acne. If the one you happen to need is there, it will work. If not, it won’t.
Herbal and homeopathic are unrelated. While some herbs are also used in the preparation of homeopathic remedies, it is the preparation (dilution to its energetic counterpart) and the philosophical “reason” a homeopath recommends a remedy that makes the two like night and day. (I was an herbalist before becoming a homeopath.)
Given the chance that pregnancy can occur, if you’re not married and looking to have kids, please also use a condom. A young woman in our family is pregnant years before intended from a birth control failure.
