What type of detox diet is best recommended for acne treatment?
I suffer from acne-prone skin and constant break outs. I’m a huge fan of natural remedies and I know that treating a problem from the inside is the most effective method. Changes in diet are supposed to be very effective against acne, and I’ve read that it is suggested to go on a brief detox diet to cleanse the body and have more immediate results. However, I’ve failed to find a detailed detox diet specifically for acne. I’m looking for a very specific list of foods to eat and avoid, as well as a time frame to stay on the diet. Bare in mind, I am vegan, so please avoid providing any suggestions including eggs, dairy, or meat.

I’ve heard that the raw food diet works wonders. I started it on Friday so I can’t speak from experience, but I know that it will work since I won’t be eating all of the chemicals, pesticides and oils. I have acne also, so I am planning on losing weight and clearing up my skin. I’d say try it for 4 weeks and see what happens. Quit smoking and caffeine also (if you do it). You can eat fruits veggies, sprouts, nuts, seeds, smoothies, juices, etc NOTHING COOKED ABOVE 116 DEGREES. I haven’t been cooking anything rather than buying a dehydrator or attempting to use the stove or oven. I’ve been having fun with it so far and I’ve noticed that already I crave processed foods less so it’s not torturous.
